Roof Mounting.
We do not recommend roof mounting. This will leave the exhaust pipe uninsulated, which means that the heat will dissipate before it enters your home. Of course, one can try to insulate the pipe, but this is not an ideal solution. There is, however, great advantages to mounting the panel on your wall. This will give a short distance to the inside of the house. During the colder periods, and, when you need maximum power, you gain greater efficiency though wall mounting due to the angles of the winter sun.
Supply air from your air collector.
You might consider removing the inner cover (diffuser) which sits in the pipe if the appearance of the hole does not bother you. The result is a little less resistance in the injection and therefore a little more heat into the house.
Houses with overhanging.
Remember, when your solar panel is installed you need to take account of the relationship between your eaves and the height you at which you position your solar panel. The eaves will produce different shadowing during the Winter season because the sun changes elevation in the sky. In the Summer, the sun is higher and you will get a long shadow onto the wall, but in Winter you get a smaller shadow because the sun is lower in the sky
Electric solar cell operation.
The Solar cell is designed so that it should receive the same amount of sun on all of the surface. If part of the surface is in shade you will discover that the fan slows down or stops. We will recommend the most efficient location to install your panel and if your conditions are not suitable, we will tell you! It is not in our interests or that of our customers to purchase a product which will be in-effective! Problem areas in your home?
These problems areas are commonly found in basements or north facing rooms. If you can't place a hot air panel near these locations, then it is possible to position a fan which will direct air around your home.
